Plague Marine with Banner

This photo was also taken with the flash on. It made the highlights whiter, it also made the banner readable. I took a lot of time painting Syphilis on the banner, it is silver writing with black shadows, but alas I painted it over dark purple and the curvature of the writing and of the banner itself make it difficult to read.

I made three icon bearers, arming one with a bolter, one with a chainsword and one with an icon. The one with the bolter was suppose to go in Syphilis squad, but it was running so it ended up in one of my green squads. And me being a stickler for WYSIWYG I had a bolt pistol in my gun line squad by accident. These type of accidents are why I don't win as many games as I perhaps should at tournaments.

I wish I hadn't painted the tiny skulls metallic green. It seemed like a good idea at the time. When I painted the banner pole the first time I did the skulls in a traditional bone color.
