LotR Winner

This was the winning model in the Lord of the Rings section. It was painted by Kelly Kim. He is a mercenary painter if you want some stuff done by him. This wasn't the best looking model he entered, but LotR is easy to win and more importantly it was easier to photograph. GW had nicer pictures of this and all models that placed in the top three. Apparently he used to work for "brush works", now he works for Sorcerer Studio, or maybe not he is active on Facebook we may even be "friends" but I'm not sure. I had trouble finding this in Google, but there is nothing to see on his site anyway currently. One of my complaints about this painting contest was a lot of the paint jobs were old. Jason Saunders dread for instance was in his 2003 Vancouver GT army. This isn't illegal but it seems boring. I didn't enter a thing because I didn't have time to paint up something especially for the contest. Thor and Nathan didn't even know about it, though Thor claims that in a previous GW contest both his and Simon's fig beat out Kelly's but that was in a different category I believe.
